RACE SUMMARY:
January 28, 2006: Gerry Florez achieved
a podium finish at the world famous Adams Raceway during an American Sportsman Race. With a lot of help from Jim Campbell
and Dan Timmmons, Gerry made a difficult motor change to achieve his 2nd Place finish.
November 27, 2005: Gerry Florez
raced to 1st place to become the California State Champion in the American Sportsman Class. Steve Nakajima finished 3rd.

13, 2005: Gerry Florez finished the LAKC season with an impressive 3rd place overall in the HPV-4 class and 4th place overall
in the very demanding Rotax class which comprised of over 30 racers. Steve Nakajima finished 7th overall and Hugh Robertson,
who was not able to race the entire series finished a respectable 11th.
November 5, 2005: Karting Ventures 3 Hour Endurance
Race, Team Senior Moments with Racers Hugh Robertson, Gerry Florez and Dave Carlisle racing two Karts finished 2nd and 3rd
place.
October 23, 2005: Dave Carlisle won the ESPN Russell Kart Race Series. He finished the season with 4-1st place
finishes, 1-2nd place, 1-3rd place and 1-8th place with a mechanical problem. Dave raced well in a very competitive field
of racers.
September 18, 2005: Karting Ventures 6 hour endurance race, Team Senior Moments with Racers, Hugh Robertson,
Dave Carlisle and Gerry Florez finished 1st place overall.
July 23, 2005: Dave Carlisle, 1st place at ESPN Russell
Kart Race (Parilla/Trackmagic), Infineon Raceway, Sears Point. Applying his skillful analysis of his kart handling, Dave
made the necessary performance improvement changes to secure his top podium finish.
July 17, 2005: Steve Nakajima 11th
place, Hugh Robertson 13th place, Dave Carlisle 14th place and Gerry Florez 20th place in a field of 45 TAG Rotax karts at
the King Taco race, California Speedway Road course. Speeds at the end of the long straight may have been well over 90 mph
in the Rotax - shifters were doing 104 mph! The King Taco event is a highlight of the Team's year. We also love the free
tacos during the event!
July 16, 2005: Dave LeFlang (Perfect Laps Mentor) 1st place, Steve Nakajima 2nd place, Hugh
Robertson 3rd place, Gerry Florez 5th place and Dave Carlisle 9th place in Stratos/Honda karts at the King Taco race, California
Speedway Road course.
July 9, 2005: Gerry Florez 2nd place in the HPV4 Class at the LAKC Kart Race at the CalSpeed
Raceway, California Speedway, Fontana!!! Gerry won a very hard fought battle with a very determined pass on a highly competitive
racer. Gerry ran back to back races with the Rotax.
July 9, 2005: Gerry Florez, Hugh Robertson and Steve Nakajima
raced at the LAKC Kart Race (Rotax/Paul Tracy Kart) at the CalSpeed Raceway, California Speedway, Fontana. Race results are
not in. All three racers significantly dropped lap times. Hugh with the most recorded low lap times (on Bridgestone tires
-- go figure!!! Steve and Gerry on Mojo's -- not Michelin). First turn accident in the Main set the racers back with mid-pack
results.
June 19, 2005: Hugh Robertson 7th, Gerry Florez 8th and Steve Nakajima 10th place at the LAKC Kart Race (Rotax/Paul
Tracy) at the CalSpeed Raceway, California Speedway, Fontana. Hugh was very competitive with the best time of the day by
a least one second among Team Senior Moments and finishing ahead of 11 other competitors.
June 18, 2005: Dave Carlisle
1st Place at the ESPN Russell Kart Race (Parilla/Trackmagic) at the Infineon Raceway, Sears Point. Dave had a very hard fought
battle to squeeze out the top podium spot on a reverse track layout!
May 22, 2005: Gerry Florez 4th, Steve Nakajima
5th and Hugh Robertson finished well (mid-pack after mechanical gremlins plagued the motor during the first Heat races) at
the LAKC Rotax race at CalSpeed, Fontana. The boys competed in a field of 23 very competitive Rotax racers.
May 17,
2005: Karting Ventures 6 hour Enduro at CalSpeed Raceway, Fontana. Team Senior Moments ran two very competitive teams: Dave
Carlisle (raced very sick), Steve Donald (sub-senior) and Mark Cross, 1st Place by 6 seconds after 6 hours of hard and fast
racing. Hugh Robertson, Gerry Florez and Steve Nakajima, 3rd Place with a very fast, consistent race. The two full course
yellows, mandatory kart swaps and team kart weighting made for close competitive racing over the 6 hours. Everyone remembered
to wear their gear and the right kart number!!! Great day of team racing!
April 24, 2005: Gerry Florez 5th Place,
Steve Nakajima 6th Place and Hugh Robertson 7th place at the LAKC Rotax race at CalSpeed Raceway, Fontana. The boys competed
against with 21 crazy racers. Hugh raced up from his 16th starting position in a kart that was taped, glued and pounded together
after a second Heat pile up! Gerry ran an ironman event competing in both the Rotax and HPV classes with very little break
between races. Steve had a great start moving from 6th to 3rd and keeping a cool head throughout to finish 6th.

March 20, 2005: Ironman Gerry
Florez finished 3rd place at the Team's first Rotax race at the very challenging CalSpeed Raceway, Fontana. On the same day
Gerry competed in the HPV4 races and placed a very impressive 4th place in a very competitive race series. The physical and
mental demands of one race (Main & 2 Heats) would expend most mortals let alone the two races (2 Mains and 4 Heats) in which
Gerry competed. Steve finished last after causing a first turn crash!!!
March 13, 2005: The first Four Hour Endurance
Race at CalSpeed Raceway: Dave Carlisle, Dave Leflang and Steve Donald in Team Senior Moments 2 finished 1st Place. Hugh
Robertson, Gerry Florez and Steve Nakajima in Team Senior Moments 1 finished 4th place in a very competive endurance-sprint
race.
February 20, 2005: Gerry Florez finished an incredible 2nd Place in a historic Southern California rain storm
at the LAKC race, CalSpeed Raceway, Fonatana. Gerry reported that in a downpour, with rain tires, he spun his HPV4 8-10 times,
but kept the kart running to finish an unbelievable 2nd Place.
December 18, 2004: CalSpeed Sprint Kart Race, held at
the first Japanese GT Race, California Speedway. Gerry Florez 1st Place, Dave Carlisle 2nd Place, Hugh and Steve had a great
race mid-pack!!! Dave also won the "Hard Charger Award" for his come from behind podium finish!
December 4th, 2004:
Gerry, Hugh, Dave and Steve ran the 12 Hours of Las Vegas finishing 6th in a very competive field with teams which included
racers such as Joey Hand and Marco Andretti (grandson of Mario). Racing was even more challenging in 32 degree weather and
a dark track during a race which ran from 12 noon to 12 midnight.
November 14, 2004: Gerry Florez ran the HPV-4 at
the new California Speedway kart track with the LAKC club. Gerry finished 2nd.
November 13, 2004: Hugh, Steve and
Gerry ran the CalSpeed Sprint race at the California Speedway kart track. Gerry finished 3rd in the Main and 4th overall.
Steve finished 4th in the Main and 3rd overall. Hugh finished 5th overall.
November 6th. Gerry Florez ran the Rotax
Tag class at the SKUSA event held at Moran Race Way. Ended up 8th out of 8 drivers.
October 31st. Hugh and Gerry ran
the 4-cycle American Sportsman So-Cal Sprinter's at the WKA Gold Cup West at the Grange' kart track. Gerry finishe with a
1st place and Hugh had a 3rd place. For the WKA Gold Cup West championship American Sportsman results, Hugh finished with
an overall 2nd place podium and Gerry finished with a 1st place overall.
October 23rd. The entire Senior Moments members
ran the CalSpeed Sprint race at the California Speedway kart track. Gerry finished 4th place.
October 10th. Gerry
Florez ran the HPV-4 at Perris with the Apex kart club. Finished 4th.
October 2nd. Senior Moments Team attended the
6-hour race at Moran Race way. We ended up 5th out of 8 teams.
September 12th. Gerry ran the HPV-4 at Irwindale with
the LAKC kart club. Finished up 5th.
September 11. Dave Carlisle ran the ESPN Russell Kart series at Infineon Raceway,
Sonoma. Dave finished 1st.
September 9th. Hugh, Steve and Gerry attended the advance school at Moran Race Way running
their HPV-4 karts. Instructor Rocky Moran, Jr.
August 14th. Senior Moments race team (David Carlisle, Steve Nakajima
and Gerry Florez) finished the 4-hour Karting Ventures endurance event in 1st place @ Grange.
August 7. Dave Carlisle
ran the ESPN Russell Kart series at Infineon Raceway, Sonoma. Dave finished 1st in the race and won 2nd in the 2004 race
series.
August 1st. Gerry ran the 4-cycle American Sportsman at Moran Race Way in the So-Cal Sprinters WKA Gold Cup
West finished 1st. Hugh finished 2nd place for the main.
July 24th. Gerry ran the Rotax in the Gatorz Masters class
at Perris. During the heat race lap two, Gerry was booted off the track that resulted in a bent axle. Started the main in
the last position on the grid (26th). Ended up in 10th for the 44 lap main event.
July 11th. Gerry ran the HPV-4 at
Perris with the Apex kart club. During the heat race Gerry was involved in a three kart get together in lap one resulted
in a broken tie rod. Gerry finished 5th for the main.
July 7. Dave Carlisle ran the ESPN Russell Kart series at Infineon
Raceway, Sonoma. Dave finished 2nd.
July 11, Gerry Florez ran his HPV-4 at the Perris Kart Track / Apex Club Race
and ended up with a 5th place finish.
June 20, Gerry Florez ran his HPV-4 at the Perris Kart Track / Apex Club Race
and ended up with a 8th place finish.
June 19. Dave Carlisle ran the ESPN Russell Kart series at Infineon Raceway,
Sonoma. Dave finished 3rd.
June 5, Senior Moments team consisting of David Carlisle, Steve Nakajima, Hugh Robertson
and Gerry Florez ran the Karting Ventures 6-hour endurance race at the newly paved Adams Kart Track. The full team was back
on the podium with a 3rd place finishing position.
May 15. Dave Carlisle ran the ESPN Russell Kart series at Infineon
Raceway, Sonoma. Dave finished 2nd.
April 11, Gerry Florez ran his HPV-4 again at the Irwindale Speedway / Los Angeles
Kart Club and finished 5th .

April 3, was a Karting Ventures 3-hour endurance race held at Grange. David Carlisle could not
make the event, because he was racing in the Jim Russell race series at Sonoma the Sears Point Kart track. We recruited Wayne
La Vassar to team up with Gerry Florez to form Senior Moments team one and the other Senior Moments team two comprised of
Steve Nakajima and Hugh Robertson. Team one had a 3rd place finish with team two a close 4th
April 4, took on the
Karting Ventures 6-hour endurance race at Grange with a two team format. Team one comprised of Hugh Robertson and Gerry Florez
and team two comprised of David Carlisle and Steve Nakajima.
March 6, Senior Moments team rented two karts for the
Karting Ventures endurance race at Buttonwillow and finished 5th and 6th
March 14, Gerry Florez attended his first
race with the Los Angeles Kart Club at the Irwindale Speedway. Finished 6th in the HPV-4.
